First of all, don't confuse our name with "Arctic".
We are, Artic Kiwi Canada.
3 years ago, while looking through a gardening magazine, Chantelle Good noticed an article about a
fruit she'd never heard of. The Hardy Kiwi. Upon reading about this product, she shared the information with her husband, Murray.
And such was born the concept of growing and producing our own plantation of Hardy Kiwi for the produce market here in Southwestern Ontario.
After much research into proper planting methods, cultivar choices, irrigation and frost protection, in early Summer 2007, we set our first posts and ran our first wires, creating our
kiwi grape arbors on 5 acres of land here in Putnam, Ontario at the original home of Whitecrest Mushrooms Ltd. We now have our arbors installed and
look forward to planting out first cultivars this Spring.
This website will provide interested parties of our progress over the next couple of years while we continue our extensive R&D processes as well as our successes and failures as we maintain our arbors and market our quality, pesticide free Hardy Kiwi Grapes.
